The joy of students of Ladoke Akintola University of technology, LAUTECH knew no bound when the governor of Oyo State, Mr Seyi Makinde visited the institution.
Makinde who was at the school on Tuesday, June 1 to commission key projects and discuss with the students in Ogbomoso broke the news that got the students bewildered.
In his magnanimity, Makinde announced that the state government has taken over ownership of the school and assured a strike free experience in the school.
Also, the governor announced a reduction of school fees for all students by 25%.
He also, commissioned an High Dependency Unit (HDU), LAUTECH Teaching Hospital.
According to the governor, the HDU will provide secondary healthcare services for individuals who need more extensive care.
After the governor made the announcement, the students were seen in a video shouting with Jubilation and cheering the governor as he walks away in close range with the students.
The Governor’s gesture has gained positive reactions from Nigerians who applauded for the timely intervention as the country struggles to make headway.
