Tragedy struck Bauchi State again as nine individuals lost their lives in two separate road accidents, while five others sustained injuries.
The incidents occurred barely a week after a multiple-motor accident claimed 25 lives in the state.
According to the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Yusuf Abdullahi, the first accident occurred along Jos-Bauchi Road at about 0625hrs on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
The accident involved a Toyota Hiace with registration number KGG 26 LG and a Peugeot Boxer J5 without a registration number, both used for commercial purposes.
Sadly, all five male adults who were involved in the crash died, as they were burnt beyond recognition due to a fire that engulfed the vehicles following a tyre burst and loss of control.
Abdullahi further explained that the Dass Station Office of FRSC also reported the death of four persons and various degrees of injuries to five other individuals in another fatal road crash.

The vehicle involved was a green Ford Galaxy used for commercial purposes on the fleet of NURTW.
The probable cause of the crash was a depreciated tyre and loss of control.
The fatal accident involving the green Ford Galaxy claimed the lives of four male adults while five others, comprising four male adults and one female adult, sustained injuries.
The injuries sustained were bruises and fractures.
The obstruction caused by the accident has been cleared to allow free flow of traffic in the area.
The dead bodies and injured victims have been taken to the General Hospital in Dass for treatment and confirmation.
Meanwhile, the burnt corpses and vehicles involved in the first accident have been handed over to NPF Toro Division, as reported by DRC CS Kangtun, OC, Zebra for the Unit Commander.
