Fast rising Nigerian music artiste, Bella Shmurda yet to be released new song ‘RUSH’ has spark mixed reactions after images of video Vixens in the video surfaced online.
In what appeared to be a scene in the music video, the female Vixens were seen wearing a white scarf on the head and a black cloth tied round from the waist down to the leg region while the bare breast displayed had a black cross-like sign on the nipple.
Some Nigerians who didn’t find the images funny, called on the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC to look into the video as it, according to them ‘sexualized women’.
One of the critic of the image on Twitter @Mohnice_ said,
“NBC should look into Bella shmurda Rush visuals before the video drop. These artists should know that minors are included in their fanbase, what will this portray after being released? Sexualizing women? We should join & help the upcoming generations with proper sanity not nudity.”

@DanielRegha said,
“Musicians should normalise making music that everyone including kids can applaud; A lot of artistes are promoting !mmorality with their music. The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) should look into Bella Shmurda’s “Rush” music video & place a ban cos it’s not encouraging.”
To @sir_zeeep, ”Bella shmurda na still small boy, even him no suppose dey do all those stuff na.. parental care is d best”.
Another User, @smilingpen noted, ”Even Bella shmurda himself is fully covered inside the photos. The irony of life though… Nudity is art but respect the minors, they should be protected so they don’t grow to become advocate of insanity.
Peace ✌🏾”.
Another user @daveudoh asked, ”Why are you guys surprised by those shots from Bella shmurda’s music video😂, the world is built on sexualizing women, most women even sexualize themselves with the pictures they post.”
In response to @Daveudoh’s tweet, @oduntutu said, “Wrong. It is the women that did it to themselves. These videos were not created in a prison yard. People deliberately walked in to be featured. Infact there are stories that people actually lobbied to feature. Don’t agree with Adult taking decision themselves & blaming others.”
Meanwhile, other social media users noted that the video depicted creativity and smartness from Bella Shmurda and his video director.
According to @odogwuelder, ”I love the video of Bella Shmurda. Body positivity is the way to go. Bella Shmurda is a very progressive man.”
@TaurusChickF noted,
“Y’all are fvcking hypocrites, when they did silhouette challenge, the talk was “ their Body, their choice, but now it’s Bella shmurda’s music video, and you people are fussing about it.”
@Qarma_Kendricks,
”Women should be allowed to rock their body, I mean it’s their body they can do whatever they want with it, until a man is involved, Bella Shmurda.”
@controllergene hinted,
Bella Shmurda is a king! Patriarchy stays winning, e-feminists can continue to cry today, cry tomorrow & cry forever..
Why r girls crying? Isn’t this body positivity? Isn’t this art? When silhouette challenge came ..which gender jumped on it?
