The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has warned consumers of Black Friday sales, citing an elevated risk of fraud and scams.
Babatunde Irukera, the Executive Vice Chairman of FCCPC on Thursday, disclosed in a statement that the commission has received “credible intelligence”.
Irukera stated that the likelihood of these deceptive outlets attempting to scam consumers through false representations of products, prices, and payment methods is predicted at 135%.
