Chelsea Football Club has sacked its Head Coach Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel was sacked Wednesday, 7th September.
The London club sacked Tuchel after a lackluster start to the season making them sit sixth on the English Premier League table and a defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in their opening Champions League match.
New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly believed it is time to replace Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea spent a record £272 million during the 2022 transfer window making them smatch the world record for a summer transfer.
According to an official statement from Chelsea FC, “On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas Tuchel and all his staff for all the records during the time with the club.
“As the new ownership group reaches a 100 days since taking over the club and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it is the right time to make this transition.
“Chelsea coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and the preparation of our upcoming matches as the club move swiftly to appoint a new head coach.
“There will be no further comment until a new head coach appointment is made”.
There have been rumours that Graham Potter or Mauricio Pochettino are clear favourites to replace Thomas Tuchel.
During his time at Chelsea FC, the German won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
