Burnley Football Club have return to the English Premier League after a hard fought 2-1 win over Middlesbrough on Friday night.
Former Anderlecht coach, Vincent Kompany became the hero of the night as he led the Claret back to the English top flight football for next season after being relegated to the Championship last year.
It is the earliest a team have gained promotion to the Premier League.
With an impressive 19-game unbeaten run in the league, it has taken Burnley a staggering 19 points clear of third-placed Luton, who have just six games remaining, at the top of the Championship.

On Friday, Burnley faced a crucial match against Middlesbrough, knowing that a win would secure their return to the Premier League.
The team got off to a perfect start, with Burnley’s Ashley Barnes opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the match.
However, Middlesbrough fought back, and Chuba Akpom equalized from the penalty spot with his 27th goal of the season.
Burnley’s hard work paid off 24 minutes from time when full-back Connor Roberts scored the decisive goal after converting Nathan Tella’s cross.
The goal sent the away fans into raptures and securing the team’s return to the Premier League.
The victory was not just a triumph for Burnley, but also for Sheffield United, who benefited from Middlesbrough’s defeat to move closer to their own return to the Premier League.
As Middlesbrough remain in fourth place, the top three spots are now firmly in the hands of Burnley, Sheffield United, and Luton Town.
