At least 50 indigenes of Akwa Ibom State have had their lives upscaled at the 53rd birthday celebration of Obong Akanimo Udofia.
The Nsit Ibom born oil magnet known for his humanitarian services and interventions turned 53years yesterday.
The birthday turned philanthropic moment saw beneficiaries drawn from the 31 local government areas of the state smiling home with generating sets and clippers, sewing machine and business grant.
The event put together by Friends of Akan Udofia was led by Hon. Kufre Etuk, a former lawmaker Representing Uruan State Constituency.

Addressing the crowd, Etuk disclosed that the event was organized as a mark of honour for Mr Udofia, the All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate and to extend his philanthropic lifestyle to people in dire need.
“This is not from Obong Akanimo Udofia, it is from us his friends and the brother because we want Akwa Ibom people to know that if he developed us, we can develop other people. So we came together and said, let’s look for people and give sewing machines and generating sets so they can leave poverty and embrace the message of prosperity.”
Etuk who recounted the philanthropic acts of Obong Udofia and how he benefitted directly from it, described him as a wealth creator and icon whose vast record of humanitarian service is conspicuously felt in the State.

He felicitated with Mr Udofia on his 53rd birthday and called on all the APC chapter chairmen, members and elders to take the message of prosperity to their respective wards and units.
Also, the former Chairman of Nsit Ibom LGA, Mr Victor Umondak accompanied by the younger brother of the celebrant, Mr Ubong Udofia who is the current General Managing Director of Desicon Engineering expressed joy with the Friends of Akan Udofia for deeming it necessary to celebrant him and also replicate his human side.

The event was well attended by APC chapter Coordinators, youth support groups, women, students group, elders and others.
