- Eating Healthy
Eating natural food such as proteins, fruits and vegetables, whole grains and fibre doing this will provide some level of minerals and vitamins that will help you maintain your energy while keeping fit and your body well nourished.
Fresh fruits and vegetables such as avocado, cucumber, apples, vegetable leaves etc. Whole grains such as oatmeal, whole wheat bread or pasta, brown rice etc.

Protein such as Low-mercury fish and shellfish, poultry, red meat, eggs, tofu and beans or legumes are all good choices.
Low-fat dairy such plain yogurt, milk, cheese or cottage cheese.
- Drinking lots of Water
Water helps in raising metabolic rate and this sometimes aid weight loss. Drinking water immediately you wake up every morning helps in cleansing the internal systems, it aids in the relief of constipation and abdominal bloating.
Also, drinking water before eating makes you fuller, causing you to eat less. Drink water before you get dehydrated because a dehydrated body craves sugar and something sweet. Sugar is the biggest enemy of weight loss.

Be nice and patient with yourself.
Being nice to yourself entails a lot of things, ranges from listening to your favorite music whenever you feel like, wearing your favorite fit or say tight clothes irrespective of your belly pouch caused by the pregnancy, taking pictures and don’t be disappointed because of how you look, feel good about yourself, love your body even with the pouch, the pouch is an evidence that something great came from you.
Be patient with yourself, it’s a process and process takes time.
- Sleep Properly
Most times for me I take babies to a full time job, I mean taking care of them, the midnight cry because they are hungry or because they just do not want to sleep, that’s the time they want to play… Lol
It’s a whole lot and yes it’s stressful but it’s an experience worth it. But then, in achieving a weight loss after pregnancy you must have to be able to sleep properly if not your weight loss efforts will be undermined.

Sleep is needed so as for your body systems to be at rest and function properly to also avoid the increase in hunger hormone Ghrelin and lowering of the satiety hormone leptin.
This leaves you craving high-calorie, carb-dense foods.
- Go to the Gym
This is really not necessary, but if you can then do it. Exercises helps to reach your fitness goals faster. Walking is a great deal also, start walking.

Yoga may help you gain strength and flexibly. You can also choose aerobic exercises such as swimming, biking but before going through this processes contact your doctor first to know if you have healed completely to go through strenuous activities.
