Hollywood actor, Jamie Foxx, has made a return to the limelight after overcoming a health scare that took him “to hell and back.”
The actor, who was rushed to the hospital in April while filming “Back in Action” in Atlanta, finally broke his silence in an emotional video posted on twitter on Saturday.
Foxx shared that the health ordeal was something he never saw coming and chose to keep the details hidden from the public eye to spare his fans from witnessing his vulnerability during those critical moments.
In the video, he stated, “I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that, man. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show.”
The actor expressed his gratitude to his family for respecting his wishes and supporting him during his recovery, especially his sister Deidra Dixon and daughter Corinne Marie, whom he credited with saving his life.
Foxx also acknowledged the significant role played by the medical professionals in his successful recovery.

During the video, Jamie Foxx took the opportunity to debunk rumors that had been circulating during his recovery period.
He clarified that contrary to speculations, he neither lost his sight nor suffered from paralysis.

Since his health scare, Foxx has been gradually easing back into public life.
Earlier this month, he was spotted in Chicago, where he waved at fans during a boat ride, signifying that he was on the mend.
