Born on April 11, 1992, Rena comes from the oil rich Rivers State, South South Nigeria. At a young age, Rena Wakama displayed a natural talent and love for basketball.

However, Rena’s commitment to both sports and academics was evident as she pursued a degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Western Carolina University.
