Tina Turner, who enjoyed a remarkable career spanning several decades, has reached the end of her journey as she peacefully passes away at the age of 83.
The legendary singer, renowned for her electrifying performances and soul-stirring vocals died on Wednesday at her residence in
Küsnacht, near Zurich, following a prolonged battle with illness.
The official Instagram account of the singer announced the news of her passing.
It reads, “Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music.”
Born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Nutbush, Tennessee, Tina Turner rose to prominence as the queen of rock ‘n’ roll, leaving an extraordinary imprint on the history of music.
