Director General, WTO, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been named in Forbes’s world’s 100 most powerful women in 2022.
Okonjo-Iweala, who is in charge of supervising and overseeing WTO’s administrative operations was the 91st woman on the list and was name in the category of “Politics and Policy”.
Forbes made this known via a publication on their website on Wednesday titled, “Forbes’s World’s Most Powerful Women in 2022.
According to Forbes, “the list of Forbes Most Powerful Women was determined by four main metrics: money, media, impact and spheres of influence. The result is a collection of women who are fighting the status quo.”
This would the 6th time of Forbes recognizing former Nigeria’s Minister of Finance in her career.
Elated Okonjo-Iweala took to twitter to congratulate herself and other women who made the list. She wrote, “An honor and a privilege to be part of this list of very distinguished women for the 6th time in my career! Congratulations to my other sisters. Let’s continue to show that good governance, good public policy and a people centered approach to work matters.”
WTO also took to twitter to congratulate her. They tweeted” Congratulations to Director-General @NOIweala on being named one of the @Forbes’s World’s 100 Most Powerful Women in 2022″
