The Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS), Uyo Chapter, has felicitated with the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, on his 60th birthday celebration.
In a birthday message signed by Pastor Ignatius Ekwere, Chairman of NMGS Uyo Chapter, on Wednesday, April 24, praised Governor Eno for his laudable initiatives and innovative use of geotechnical expertise in addressing critical engineering challenges faced by the state.
The message highlighted the governor’s remarkable leadership and vision for a better Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria, as encapsulated in the A.R.I.S.E Agenda.
The society also commended the governor for his strategic application of geotechnical and geological solutions, which have safeguarded the environment, facilitated safer and more efficient transportation networks, and promoted socio-economic development.
Some of the notable projects mentioned in the message include the ongoing ecological works in Ravine Uyo, Tabernacle road, Atiku Abubakar, and other roads and bridges constructed across the state.
The NMGS Uyo Chapter expressed their joy and happiness in celebrating this milestone with Governor Eno and looked forward to continuing their collaboration with him in advancing geosciences and promoting sustainable development for the prosperity of Akwa Ibom State.
