Nigerians on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter are not having a chill over President Muhammadu Buhari’s inciting war talk yesterday.

Recall, Buhari while receiving in audience officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had said he will no longer condone the destruction of government facilities by miscreants in the country.

The President who sent a stern warning to those he described as enemies of Nigeria had referenced the travails of the 1967 Nigerian Civil War, noting that presidency will go tough on these persons sooner or later.

Buhari had said, ”many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War.

Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”

The statement from President Buhari has generated negative reactions especially from indigenes of the South-East who were the major victims of the 1967-1970 civil war.

The reactors who are basically young people from the East have accused the President for killing their forefathers in the Civil war and also threatening to unleash mayhem on their children in 2021.

While expressing sadness over the statement from President Buhari, they called on the CEO of Twitter, Jack to disband Buhari’s account @MBuhari from the platform for inciting genocide talk on Nigerians.

Some of the tweets:

Dear @jack this Tweet violates @Twitter rules and principles. This President threatened a Genocide against over 30 million IGBOs living in Nigeria. Please suspend this account immediately. SB. https://t.co/KpzuTKqpxZ

For @MBuhari to keep reminding us how he took part in the genocide of over 5 million Biafrans, and his readiness to repeat it again and again, reminds me that @IntlCrimCourt shouldn't have existed in the first place. @IntlCrimCourt is a total sham and the most corrupt institution. pic.twitter.com/eSvpzTThyl

Good morning sane citizens of Nigeria. Good morning to all Igbos.

The insane animals here who feel it’s ok for a demented tyrant to threaten genocide against his citizens can get theirs from him

But in this difficult times,
For those of us with a brain:
We stand with the Igbos.

— #OurFavOnlineDoc 🩺🇳🇬🇬🇧💎 (@DrOlufunmilayo) June 2, 2021

Buhari basically said: we slaughtered your parents 30 years ago. We will slaughter you again. The Igbo is not only endangered but face genocide in Nigeria. Do you know see why the #SitAtHome was successful? It is never about IPOB or Kanu. It is about the survival of the Igbo. https://t.co/2g10hwC5Hs

No remorse for the role he played in the genocide, if he had the opportunity, he'll do it again.

If @jack and @TwitterSafety could ban Trump on this platform, I wonder why they couldn't do the same to @MBuhari. https://t.co/pRI5jY0pHd

— Ayemojubar (@ayemojubar) June 1, 2021

Dear @jack , u suspended Trump for complaining abt a bad haircut and phlegm 🙄. This man just threatened Nigerians with the civil war treatment 2days after victims of the biafran genocide were remembered. Please do the needful https://t.co/fAYeW6JHci

— OSHOMAh (@JohnNetworQ) June 1, 2021

President Buhari, this tweet is full of bile. You cannot in any glorify genocide and wish same on your citizens. Who ever is behind this tweet, Tolu, Bashir, Femi Ad wina or Garba Shehu. This is the lowest any president can go! https://t.co/IdASjtGvEY

— Sadiya Hamza (@SadiyaHamza4) June 1, 2021

This Is The Same Buhari Who Said, A War Against Boko Haram Is A War Against The North. While His Govt Has Continued To Negotiate With Fulani Bandits, Granted Boko Haram Terrorist Amnesty, Protects Killer Fulani Herdsmen Yet He Threatens Igbos With a 2nd Genocide! #BREAKUPNIGERIA

— Somto Okonkwo ♊︎ (@General_Somto) June 1, 2021

Dear @jack, this is hate speech, warn and suspend @MBuhari for planning another Biafran genocide. https://t.co/JRO8SYgUKN

— Amaka Ekwo (@Amaka_Ekwo) June 2, 2021

Report this account until @jack pull it down. The arch genocidist has declared another Biafra war and his readiness to commit another genocide once again. https://t.co/oZ1CIafvWC

— Official_AmakaIke (@Official_A_Ike) June 1, 2021

My President’s handler. Casually reminding me, a citizen, that the president was once part of a genocide that killed 3 million people from my ethnic group. He can send the army to “do it again”. pic.twitter.com/Dmbc5AoGqC

— Ifeanyi (@Cicerorian_) June 1, 2021

Dear @jack the @NGRPresident threatens Biafrans in Nigeria with another Biafran genocide.

you need to suspend @MBuhari for violating @Twitter rules. https://t.co/JRO8SYgUKN
