Jubilation have trailed the emergence of Nigerian singer cum politician, Mr Olubankole Wellington after he won the Peoples Democratic Party’s ticket for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Lagos State.
Recall the first primary held last month was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday, 6th June.
The cancellation arose following a dispute between Aiboni and Wellington which the party leadership in Abuja intervened and fixed a rerun.
At the first primary, Mr Wellington won with 27 votes 27 against his rival, Sam Aiboni.
This time, Mr Wellington scored 24 votes from the 29 accredited votes to clinch the ticket while his rival scored five votes.
