The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has officially closed its investigation into the incident involving rapper Cardi B at Drai’s Beachclub, resulting in the dropping of all charges against the Grammy Award-winning artist.
Following a video that circulated all over social media, the “Bodak Yellow” singer, Cardi B, faced accusations of battery when she threw her microphone at a female audience member who threw a drink at her during the performance.
The microphone allegedly bounced off the intended target and hit another woman nearby.
Prior to the altercation, Cardi B was seen on stage, instructing a different audience member to spray her from behind, but she objected when the unexpected water hit her face later in the show.

Following the incident, a show attendee reported the incident to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, prompting a criminal battery investigation.
However, after a thorough review and consultation with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, authorities announced that the case would be closed due to “insufficient evidence.”
Consequently, Cardi B will not face any charges in relation to the incident.
The rapper’s legal representatives expressed their appreciation for the police’s “diligent and prompt resolution of this matter” in a statement reported by various media outlets.
Interestingly, the microphone used by Cardi B during the incident is now making headlines of its own.
The owner of an audio company has reportedly put the microphone up for auction on eBay.
The bidding for the microphone has already surpassed an astonishing $99,000, attracting the attention of the public.
