Ramos added the third goal for Portugal on the 51st minute before assisting Raphael Guerreiro to get Portugal’s fourth goal on the 55th minute.
Switzerland pulled a goal back through Manuel Akanji on the 58th minute.
Ramos completed his hat-trick with another goal for Portugal before Rafael Leao scored Portugal’s final goal in the added time to seal the win.
Portugal’s qualification for the quarter-finals is their first since 2006.
