Labour Party has issued Certificate of Return to Dr. Peter Obi amidst alleged factional battle that produced Amb. Jude Ezewanfor.
The Party which had earlier dismissed the rumour of Amb. Jude being the new party flagbearer, insisted that only one Labour Party existed in the country and also, Peter Obi is the only presidential flagbearer of the party.
Also, the issuance of Certificate of Return to Peter Obi comes barely hours after Amb. Ezewanfor, a financial member of the party withdrew from the race on personal grounds.
Announcing the issuance, Labour party on its official Twitter handle @NgLabour tweeted, ”Mr. Peter Obi Receives Labour Party Certificate of Returns as its Presidential Candidate for 2023 presidential elections. Congratulations!!”
The Anambra born politician and financial expert received the Certificate of Return at the party’s national office in Abuja.
