The ongoing feud between Nigerian music duo, PSquare, has taken a new turn as Peter Okoye, aka Mr. P, has written an emotional letter to his twin brother, Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy.
In the letter, dated August 12, 2024, Mr. P addressed Rudeboy’s recent claims of another feud between them.
Rudeboy, had alleged in a recent interview that Mr. P had reported him to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a Nigerian agency responsible for investigating and prosecuting financial crimes.
The duo, who rose to fame in 2003 and became a dominant force in the music industry, went their separate ways in 2017 due to irreconcilable differences.
Since then, they have pursued solo careers, with Peter performing as Mr. P and Paul as Rudeboy.
In the letter, Mr. P expressed his disappointment and hurt over Rudeboy’s constant discrediting of his efforts in the group, saying, “Seeing you grant countless interviews where you constantly discredit my efforts in the group that we both created and built together really speaks volumes.”
He also addressed Rudeboy’s claim that he wrote and sang 99% of all PSquare songs, saying, “You never acknowledged the other songs like ‘Get-Squared,’ ‘Bizzy Body,’ ‘Personally,’ ‘Roll It,’ ‘Temptation,’ ‘Alingo,’ ‘More than a Friend,’ ‘Shekini,’ ‘Say Your Love,’ ‘Gimme Dat,’ ‘Senorita,’ ‘IGBEdu,’ and a few others. Were these songs also considered failures as well?”

Mr. P stressed the importance of their unity, saying, “What made us special was the magic that came from our combined effort – us two! PSquare was a force, and the fans fell in love with PSquare because of our uniqueness and unity.”
He also questioned Rudeboy’s motives, saying, “I often find myself wondering, what do you truly gain by constantly disrespecting and belittling me all the time?”
The latest feud between the twin brothers has left fans disappointed and hopeful for a reconciliation.
