President Bola Tinubu has appointed former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Wike despite being a member of the Peoples Democratic Party was nominated by President Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress.
Recall the immediate past Governor of River State was accused during the 2023 Presidential General elections for allegedly working for the APC.
Wike was accused in a European Union (EU) report of not allowing a fair environment for other parties to campaign and for not ensuring that voters from different parties could vote during the election.
