- ABUBAKAR SANI BELLO
Abubakar Sani Bello is undoubtedly the richest governor in Nigeria. He is a native of Niger State
He was born on 17 December 1967 into the family of Colonel Sani Bello, a billionaire and one time Military Governor of the old Kano State.
The 54 years old attended the Nigerian Military School from 1980 to 1985.
After his graduation from the military school, he proceeded to the University of Maiduguri where he bagged a B.Sc. degree in Economics.
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello is married to Dr. Amina Abubakar Bello, a daughter to Nigeria’s former military head of state, General Abdusalami Abubakar. She is a Doctor of Medicine. Their union is blessed with three children.
Abubakar served as Commissioner for Commerce and Investment from 1999 to 2010 when Aliyu Abubakar was the governor of Niger State.

Wike attended the Rivers State University of Science & Technology where he obtained his Bachelor Degree in Law and Masters of Art Degree in Political & Administrative Studies.

He had certificate scandal prior to the general election in 2019. According to him on Channels Television, he said he never claimed to have bagged a certificate in Obafemi Awolowo University.

His journey in the political affairs of the the country hasn’t been rosy, he contested the Ogun East Senatorial Seat under the umbrella of All Progressive Congress but lost out to Buruji Kashamu of the People’s Democratic Party.
He defeated the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2019 gubernatorial election in Ogun State to be sworn in as governor on 29 May 2022.
The 62 years old is the CEO of Heyden Petroleum Ltd. According to reports, he is the founder of First Power Limited.

In 2020, Obaseki was denied a spot by APC to run for the gubernatorial election. He defected to PDP to contest for the election.
