Micro-blogging platform, Twitter has deleted President Muhammadu Buhari inciting ‘civil war’ after Nigerians reported the account.
Social media users on Twitter had earlier today declared an online fight with the president after he said, “many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War.
Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”
The statement which did not go down well with Nigerians who felt the president was insulting the memory of the South-East who were the brunt bearer of the 1960-1970 Nigerian/Biafra civil war, called on the media giant, Twitter to suspend the account.

One of the users, @JohnNetworQ had said, ”Dear @jack , u suspended Trump for complaining abt a bad haircut and phlegm. This man just threatened Nigerians with the civil war treatment 2days after victims of the biafran genocide were remembered. Please do the needful.”
Following the pressure and complaints from Nigerians on the platform, Twitter brought down the post with a notification – “This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules”.
