Twitter owner, Elon Musk, has introduced temporary limits aimed at safeguarding user privacy and ensuring a secure online environment.
The new restrictions, announced today by the Twitter owner, are set to have a significant impact on user behavior and information sharing dynamics within the platform.
Verified accounts, typically belonging to high-profile individuals, organizations, and public figures, will now face a daily reading limit of 6,000 posts.
This measure seeks to strike a balance between allowing verified users to maintain their extensive engagement while curtailing the potential for information overload and misuse.

With this restriction, verified accounts will need to be more strategic in their interactions, selecting the most relevant posts to read and respond to.
Meanwhile, unverified accounts, which comprise a significant portion of Twitter’s user base, will face a more substantial reduction in their daily reading capacity.
These accounts, lacking the verification symbol, will now be limited to consuming only 600 posts per day.
Furthermore, Twitter has taken a proactive stance on combating the creation of new unverified accounts solely for the purpose of manipulating the system.
As a result, the app has introduced a daily limit of 300 new unverified accounts.
These temporary limits have garnered mixed reactions from Twitter users and experts.
A user tweeted, “This is all Jacks fault. When I catch you! @jack.”
@catturd2 also tweeted, “This is ridiculous and it’s basically destroying Twitter.”
