Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, is preparing to host a gathering of healthy food enthusiasts at the upcoming Cocktail and Grill Festival.
Mr. Allen Effeh, the CEO of Ibom Tourism Nigeria Limited and the festival’s initiator, made the disclosure during a press briefing held at the Crystalem Luxury Hotel in Uyo on Friday, September 1.
The Cocktail and Grill Festival, according to Effeh, is conceived as a getaway for people to savour the art of grilling, enjoy healthy meals, strengthen bonds of friendship, and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The festival scheduled to take place on November 19, according to Effeh promises to be a haven for grill lovers.
He said, “The Cocktail and Grill Festival promises to be the ultimate gathering of food enthusiasts in Nigeria, featuring a vibrant celebration of street food culture in Nigeria’s exciting city, Uyo.
“We intend to turn the spotlight on the art of crafting cocktails, as the festival also aims at encouraging healthy drinking habits.
“We’ll also shine the light on the incredible grills created from local recipes, which Uyo is known for, while honouring the individuals and brands who passionately contribute to this craft and hospitality, he added.”
Effeh explained that aside highlighting the art of grilling, the festival will present an extensive roster of both local and international musical talents who will delight the attendees.
Also, a lineup of comedians from both Lagos and Akwa Ibom will be on hand to provide stellar entertainment to guests.
Mr. Effeh who revealed the festival will hold at Kings and Queens, Ewet Housing Estate, said it will serve as a unifying force for the entire city, promising a long lasting experience with healthy delicacies, refreshing beverages, music, and an avenue to bond with people.
“From local sensations to international stars, we’ve curated a lineup that will leave you wanting for more. But that’s not all–our different guests to prepare for side-splitting laughter as some of the funniest comedians from Lagos and Akwa Ibom will take the stage,” he said.
Meanwhile, Effeh also called on individuals, entrepreneurs, the media, and brands to seize the opportunity to connect with potential clients and customers by becoming sponsors or partners of the festival, noting that the festival offers various ticket categories and brand visibility and connection opportunities.
He added, “We are all about creating experiences, which is why we’ve designed various ticket categories from N2000, N7000, N50,000, N100,000, N300,000 and N500,000 to cater to everyone’s preferences.
“Whether you’re looking for a regular entry pass or a VIP experience complete with a cocktail and grill, we’ve got you covered. And for our esteemed partners and sponsors, we have exclusive packages that offer prime visibility and connection opportunities.”
Effeh, who has been actively promoting tourism in Akwa Ibom State, revealed that the festival presents a unique opportunity to showcase the state as a prime tourism destination, adding that it aligns perfectly with the A.R.I.S.E Agenda championed by the state governor, Pastor Umo Eno.
”We will be thrilled to align with Governor Umo Eno’s A.R.I.S.E. Agenda, which also places major emphasis on promoting tourism in our beautiful state. And together, we can showcase the wonders of Akwa Ibom to the world.”
“Together, let’s make the Cocktail & Grill Festival an absolute hit, where good food, good times, and unforgettable memories collide, he added.”
