In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, renowned Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama disclosed the painful chapters of her past and how her ex-husband abused her severally.
The actress who was a screen diva in the early 2000s disclosed that her estranged husband, Godwin Okrim, subjected her to physical beating and torture.
Victoria Inyama hinted that her ex-husband would channel his frustration from his club Manchester United’s poor performance into aggression, resulting in physical abuse whenever the football club suffered a defeat.
“I hate Man Utd, ehn. The number of beatings wey dem beat me because Man United lose match ehn,” shared Inyama.
Despite the torment, Inyama, a mother of three, expressed no regret for prioritizing her marriage over her acting career.

She recounted instances of enduring physical, mental, and emotional abuse, shedding light on her ex-husband allegedly bringing other women into their home to harass her.

Reflecting on her journey, Inyama acknowledged the agony of questioning herself, yet stood firm, adding that she doesn’t regret sacrificing her career for the sake of her children.
“My ex-husband was physically, mentally, and psychologically abusing me. When my husband hit me for the first time, I didn’t believe it; I was in shock,” she said.
Inyama further revealed that the threats from her ex-husband continue to this day, with him expressing intentions to kill her or place her behind bars.
