A tragic incident occurred in the Ajah area of Lagos State, Nigeria, where a woman named Annie Ofili allegedly stabbed her friend, Glory Okon, to death during a heated argument.
On the day of the incident, Okon had gone to visit Ofili at her home on the Greenville Estate in Badore.
While they were conversing, a dispute ensued between them and escalated into a physical altercation.
During the altercation, Ofili reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife and used it to stab her friend in the neck.
According to sources, the two women had been shouting at each other, but when others tried to intervene and separate them, the door was locked from the inside.

The landlord and other neighbors eventually forced the door open, only to find Ofili on top of Okon with a knife, and Okon lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.
Efforts were made to save Okon’s life, but she was pronounced dead on arrival at the general hospital in CMS, Lagos Island.
Ofili’s landlord reported the incident to the police, who promptly arrested Ofili and recovered the murder weapon as evidence.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that Ofili had been taken into custody and the body of the deceased had been deposited at the Mainland General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
The suspect is expected to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
He said, ”Yes I am aware of the incident. It happened around 5:50pm on Sunday. The Divisional Police Officer, Ajah Division, got a distress call from the landlord living at Greenville Estate, Badore, Ajah Lagos State.
“The landlord said around 1:20pm, one of his tenants, Annie Ofili, murdered her girlfriend, Glory Okon, who came to visit her, with a kitchen knife.
“Upon receiving the information, a team of detectives was sent to the address and the lady was arrested and the kitchen knife recovered as an exhibit.”
