The remains of veteran journalist and former Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Information late Elder Nnamso Umoren will be interred on Friday 5th March, 2021 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
According to a release by the family, the funeral arrangements for the late great wordsmith are scheduled to take place as follows: Eulogy and Tribute Night, today, Wednesday, 3rd March, 2021 at Sheergrace Arena along Nsikak Eduok Avenue in Uyo by 4pm.
There will be Lying-in-State at his residence in Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, on Friday, March 5th, 2021 by 7:30 am as well as at the NUJ chambers, Information Drive, Uyo by 7:45am on the same Friday morning, 5th March 2021.

A Commendation Service will later hold at Qua Iboe Church, Uyo Township, No 2 Abak Road by 8:30 am While funeral service, to be conducted by Qua Iboe Church, No 2 Abak Road, will hold at the Unity Park along Udoudoma Avenue in Uyo by 10am prompt.
The late Elder Nnamso Umoren who was born in 1952, is survived by a wife, Deaconess Ekaete Nnamso Umoren, children, the media community and a host of other relatives.
